At Vector 8177, high school students dive into hands-on engineering, coding, and teamwork — building robots and real-world skills that prepare them to lead in tomorrow’s tech — driven world.

Our Story

Vector 8177 — born in the fall of 2019 at Tomball Memorial High School — came in hot with brains, bots, and boldness! Just a handful of students, three mentors, and one epic sponsor (shoutout to the Young Sheldon Grant!) — BOOM! Rookie All-Star Award in our first season.

Then came 2021. Virtual competitions? No problem! We snagged Rookie Design AND Game Changer Awards. By 2022, we leveled up to 40+ members and blasted our way to the FIRST Championship — not once, but twice. Oh yeah!

Now? We’re a robotics force with black and orange swagger, a mascot straight outta Despicable Me, and a chant that echoes through the halls: “Vector, Oh Yeah!” We build bots, inspire minds, and bring the fun — with direction AND magnitude!
