Vector 8177 was established in the fall of 2019 at Tomball Memorial High School, comprised of a dedicated group of students, three mentors, and support from the Young Sheldon Grant. In our first season, we proudly earned the Rookie All-Star Award.
In 2021, we faced the challenge of virtual competitions and successfully received the Rookie Design and Game Changer Awards. By 2022, our team had grown to over forty members and qualified for the FIRST Championship twice, highlighting our continued progress.
Today, Vector 8177 is recognized for our commitment to robotics and team spirit, represented by our black and orange colors, mascot, and chant. We focus on building innovative robots, inspiring others, and fostering a positive, engaging team culture.
